How to Play
Game basics
RPSBattle combines Rock-Paper-Scissors counter mechanics + territory control + faction warfare into one fast-paced multiplayer experience. Choose one of three factions (Rock, Paper, or Scissors), paint territory to earn points, crash into opponents of the type you counter to eliminate them, and dominate the battlefield using your faction's unique skill.

The Rock-Paper-Scissors counter system
- βοΈ Scissors beats π Paper
- π Paper beats β Rock
- β Rock beats βοΈ Scissors
Crash into an opponent of the type you counter to eliminate them. When you choose a faction, it becomes your "hand shape" for the entire match. Scissors players actively hunt Paper players while avoiding Rock players.
Three factions and their skills
| Faction | Skill | Strength | Weakness |
| βοΈ Scissors |
Dash β Charge in your movement direction, eliminating enemies in your path |
Skill kills fully recharge your gauge |
3-second stun if you miss; cannot generate shields |
| β Rock |
Earthquake β Area-of-effect stun and knockback |
Strong area control; bonus rewards for crowd disruption |
Slowest movement; requires precise timing |
| ποΈ Paper |
Rally β Dash to the nearest ally with invincibility during the dash |
Strong team synergy; assist points shared |
Cannot use skill when alone |
Scoring and skill gauge
- Painting territory simultaneously fills your score and skill gauge. Factions covering wider areas receive bonus points.
- Chase penalty: Tiles painted within 0.5 seconds of another faction passing through grant no score or gauge rewards.
- 2-second post-skill freeze: Your gauge does not charge from territory for 2 seconds after using a skill.
- No rewards during spawn invincibility: Painted territory during respawn invincibility yields no rewards.
Shields and flags
- Shield β Automatically activated when your size is 1.5x or larger. When hit, you keep half your size and gain 1.5 seconds of invincibility. Scissors cannot generate shields. Destroying an enemy's shield awards +700 points.
- Flag β Killing an enemy generates a flag. Players from other factions who step on it earn +100 points + gauge charge.

Strategy tips
- Start in Endless mode to practice with bots and learn the basics
- When facing a counter that beats you, immediately keep distance; when facing a faction you counter, engage aggressively
- Painting territory is the key to both scoring AND charging your skill gauge, so prefer empty areas over tiles other factions just painted
- Rock has area-of-effect skills, so target groups of enemies. Scissors' dash is linear, so isolated enemies are ideal targets. Paper should use Rally where allies are nearby
- Missing a skill carries a big penaltyβactivate skills only when you're certain
- Defeating an enemy with a shield grants a +700 point bonus, making shielded enemies high-value targets
